Consumer Health Data Policy
Last updated October 28, 2026
This policy is for residents of Washington State and of other places with consumer health data laws. It covers the same facts as our Privacy Policy, focused on health data.
1. What consumer health data Mealith handles
Food and calorie entries, weight, body measurements, exercise, water, fasting and progress photos can be consumer health data. You enter all of it yourself.
2. Where it is, and who can read it
On the free app, it stays on your device and we never receive it. With Mealith Plus, it is encrypted on your device before it is backed up, with a key we never have, so we cannot read it. We collect no health data in readable form.
3. Why
Only to give you the app and, for subscribers, the backup you pay for.
4. Sharing and selling
We never sell consumer health data and never share it with anyone. The companies listed in the Privacy Policy store subscribers' encrypted backups but cannot read them.
5. Your rights
You can see, export and delete your data in the app at any time. Subscribers can delete their account in the app, which deletes their backup from our servers. You can also email support@mealith.com to ask what we hold, to delete it, or to withdraw consent, and we will answer within 45 days. If we turn down a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and then complain to the Washington State Attorney General.
